My journey with John Barnes' Myofascial Release (MFR) began in 2015 and it's been nothing but incredible. As a pediatric occupational therapist for 15 years, I worked mainly with pediatric patients however, I also learned MFR skills for myself and practiced them with both adults and children. After some old injuries left me with chronic pain stemming from bulged discs at L4 and L5 in 2005, I started to doubt any real relief would occur - until MFR proved me wrong! Without directly treating my back, the constant pain, discomfort and feeling of being ready to collapse suddenly disappeared and hasn't been present since. That's just one example of how John Barnes' MFR has changed my life!

More examples include:

  • eliminated and reduced medications I’ve been taking for over 10 years

  • reduced pain and discomfort from TMJ

  • corrected leg length discrepency by balancing pelvis

  • increased energy and no longer NEED caffiene

  • no more panic attacks

  • improved posture

  • range of motion and functional use of thumb regained (surgical procedure 1995) of dominant hand

  • belief in the mind-body connection

  • regained grip strength

  • dissolved scar adhesions

  • belief that taking the time to care for ourselves is vital to our physical and mental well-being

  • allowing for feelings and not judging them or myself

  • LIVE MY BEST LIFE!!

  • no more headaches

  • improved complextion. . .

All of this is possible for you too!

With the knowledge I have gained from my years of experience, I opened my practice in May 2022 where I aim to extend this life-transforming treatment to all who need it!

Meet our new MFR Therapist:

Renee Mullins, PT

Renee has been a practicing Physical Therapist since 1987, working across multiple clinical settings, with most of the past 20 years focused in inpatient rehabilitation.

At the same time, she was facing her own struggle with debilitating pain caused by worsening scoliosis that she had managed since childhood. Her search for relief — both for her patients and for herself— led her to Myofascial Release therapy. She was drawn to its ability to provide lasting pain relief without relying on pain medications or surgery.

Personally experiencing the benefits of Myofascial Release became a turning point in her life and took surgery off the table for her.

Since taking her first course, she has been committed to continually advancing her skills so she can provide effective treatment and help others experience the same relief and improved quality of life that she found.

She has completed 60 hours of MFR seminars and continues to receive weekly mentorship and training hours under my supervision and direction, as well as group study sessions.

Renee firmly believes in Myofascial Release as it has also helped her to reduce pain, restore mobility, and return to enjoying life more fully and is dedicated to helping others achieve the same.
